Heitzman Rehab Profile

Angela M. Heitzman is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a Certified Life Care Planner.  A rehabilitation counselor since 1984, she has provided medical and vocational case management to hundreds of clients covered by Minnesota Workers Compensation, Long Term Disability insurance, as well as private-pay clients.  Angela has provided forensic vocational evaluations and expert testimony since 1989 working with plaintiff and defense attorneys throughout the United States.  A certified life care planner since 2000, she has developed life care plans for people suffering illness and injury involving spinal cord injuries, traumatic and acquired brain injuries, amputations, along with other catastrophic and chronic medical conditions.


Angela is the co-founder and former chair of the Academy of Forensic Rehabilitation Research. She has held leadership positions in the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP), having served on the Forensic Section Board of Directors from 2006 – 2012 and on the IARP Board of Directors from 2008 – 2012.  Angela also served on IARP’s Occupational Information Development Advisory Panel Liaison Committee from 2009 – 2012.  She has presented on numerous occasions at conferences hosted by International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals,  Illinois Association  of Rehabilitation Professionals, Minnesota Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and the International Symposium on Life Care Planning.


Angela is co-author of the 2012 book Foundations of Forensic Vocational Rehabilitation, published by Springer Publishing, contributing to chapters on Consultation in Employment Law, Labor Market Surveys, and Job Analysis.
